Whyte vs Browne

Dillian Whyte admits a rematch with Anthony Joshua would bring out his 'rage' and wants a trilogy of fights with his British heavyweight rival.

'The Body Snatcher' can stay on course for a world title shot this year if he defeats Lucas Browne at The O2 on March 24, live on Sky Sports.

Whyte holds the WBC 'silver' belt and has been working towards a fight with WBC champion Deontay Wilder, but could switch his attention to Joshua, who avenged an amateur loss to the Brixton man with a stoppage win in December 2015.

"Wilder or Joshua, whoever ends up making sense," Whyte exclusively told Sky Sports.

"Ideally we would like to fight Wilder next. Win that and go into the Joshua fight as the champion.

"But if AJ is sensible about a good deal, we could get it on next."

Joshua is preparing for a unification clash with Joseph Parker at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on March 31, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and has mentioned that Whyte could be part of his future plans.

"He knows whenever me and him are in the ring, it's going to be war," said Whyte.

"I expect to fight him probably another three or four times in my career. It's one of those fights that, if I fight him next and beat him, I'll still fight him again.

"It's a good fight and there is so much emotion and anger and rage in that fight."

"I just enjoy fighting, whether it's in front of one person, 10,000 or 100,000. A fight's a fight to me. Everybody has got something they are good at doing.

"I've always been a fighter since I was a child and thank god I managed to make it work for me, and I'm actually fighting regularly now and doing it the right way."

Whyte's battle with Browne is part of a packed month of decisive heavyweight fights as Wilder firstly defends his WBC belt against Luis Ortiz at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on March 3, live on Sky Sports.

"Yeah, it's massive," said the 29-year-old. "It's a crucial fight in my career and it's big for heavyweight boxing, because this win will propel me into great things.

"That's what we have worked for, for the past few years, become a stand-alone headliner and I'm close to doing it now. I'll put on a good show, a good performance, and this is it."
